Turnout was 24.63% and there were 50.83% postal vote returns.

The victory was not a surprise given the large majority at the last election but the Conservative vote appears to have held up very well. There had been concerns that controversy over parking enforcement and cuts to services would reduce their share of the vote. In fact it was the Liberal Democrats and the Greens who seem to have lost most ground with Labour regaining second place.

Cllr. Hearn has lived in Chiswick Riverside for over 20 years and his children attended a local school where he is an active school governor. His special interests are education, transport and services for the elderly. He has pledged to regularly canvass local residents for their views and be readily available by phone, email and regular surgeries.

He will work alongside existing Chiswick Riverside councillors Felicity Barwood and Paul Lynch (both Conservative).
